Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 13 August 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
This website is the online home of 1939 Bistro Bar and Pizzeria of Xewkija, Gozo, Malta ("we", "us"). By browsing it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with any part of them, please simply stop using the site.
2. What this site is for
The site exists to introduce our bistro: who we are, what we cook and how to find us. It offers no online ordering, payment or booking — reservations and orders are handled over the phone or through the third-party delivery platforms we work with.
3. Menu and prices
The dishes and prices published here are indicative only. Our kitchen changes with the seasons and prices can change at short notice, while updates to this website may lag behind. The price you pay is always the one on the menu in the restaurant (or on the delivery platform) at the time of your order — not the one shown here. If a price matters to you, please confirm it with us before ordering.
4. Accuracy and availability
We do our best to keep everything on the site correct and up to date — including opening hours and contact details — but we provide the content "as is" and make no guarantee that it is complete, current or error-free, or that the site will always be available.
5. Our content
The text, photography and design of this site belong to us or are used with permission. You are welcome to share links to the site; please don't reproduce its content commercially without asking us first.
6. Links to other sites
Links to Facebook, delivery platforms and other external sites open in a new tab and lead to services we don't control. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from your use of this website or from reliance on the information it contains. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time; the version published on this page is the one that applies. The date above tells you when it last changed.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta and any dispute belongs to the Maltese courts. Questions? Call us on +356 2156 2892 or visit us in the village centre of Xewkija, by the Rotunda.
